What's CBT for ?
CBT is recommended in the NHS for a range of problems including:-
CBT is also used to treat addictions, stress, sexual problems and sleep disorders.
EMDR was originally developed to treat trauma and has been further developed to successfully treat many of the other problems listed above. It is a recommened treatment for PTSD in the NHS.
What's involved?
Most problems can be treated over 6-12 sessions, usually for one hour, once a week.
Sometimes a longer course of sessions may be needed if the problem is more complicated.
You can decide how many sessions you need and how regularly you would like to meet and progress is reviewed together as we go.
Where?
I am based at the Libero Clinic in Southsea.
I also use Zoom, Skype, TEAMS & Facetime with people anywhere in the world with an internet connection.
What next?
Please feel free to get in touch.
If you are thinking about therapy but not sure and want to talk that through, I can arrange a free meeting, in person, by phone or online.

In one way or another, mental health problems will affect almost everyone at some point in their lives. Over several decades, I’ve had the privilege to help all sorts of people, diverse in so many ways and all individual. From homeless people to Police and Civil Servants, Musicians, Builders, Chief Executives, Students, Teachers and Shopworkers.
I work really hard for my clients. I believe in their ability to recover and in my ability to help them on that journey. I have a warm and compassionate approach and a great track record. I know from my own family experience how important it is to feel listened to and for things to get better.
